Organic waste streams from agriculture, forestry, and industry are gathered and transported to our processing plant, where they’re sorted and prepared for conversion.
Through a process called gasification, the biowaste is heated at high temperatures without oxygen to produce synthesis gas—a mixture of hydrogen and carbon monoxide.
The gas is refined and catalytically converted into liquid biomethanol, a renewable fuel ready to power ships and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.
Biomethanol is only as green as its production. That’s why we take a full life cycle approach when measuring the environmental impact of our fuel. From biowaste collection to end use in ships, our process is optimized for minimal emissions and maximum climate benefit.
Glocal Green’s biomethanol is produced from sustainable biowaste with no fossil input. This means our well-to-wake CO₂ emissions are close to zero — a stark contrast to fossil methanol or LNG-based alternatives.
We use ISO-compliant LCA models to account for emissions across the entire value chain — including feedstock sourcing, transport, production, and end-use combustion. No shortcuts, no greenwashing.
By producing locally and using European biowaste, we avoid the emissions tied to long-distance transport of feedstock or fuel. This ensures a lower carbon footprint and supports regional energy independence.
We will be producing bio-e-methanol by establishing economically sustainable product flows for residual raw materials.
Our concept redefines the value of residual biomaterials through optimal energy utilisation and by ensuring that they do not go to waste.
Our ambition is to establish a circular carbon economy by combining and scaling existing technological solutions for large-scale production and distribution of green biomethanol in existing markets.
